Passed!!!
I passed it. The written exam of course.
Yes, this was quite a tough exam indeed. It took longer than I expected initially. The reasons for that I gather are
1. New stuff added to the exam. Especially wireless and QoS. I didn't know how to prep for those topics. Then I winded up overstudying some topics and overlooking others.
2. I was less knowledgeable about routing protocols in general than I thought I had been. I was pretty weak on topics like redistribution particularly.
3. Some of the questions in the exam are somewhat tricky and I could not even find an answer even after I came back home and searched the web.
If I may advise for those who are thinking about taking on this exam in the future, I would say
1. Read deeply into each routing protocol and how it works. And memorize key features and key components of each protocol both routing and switching. You gotta memorize them. Otherwise you won't get your answers right. Again, memorize!!
2. Get yourself familiar with not just concepts but actual configurations as well. You gotta be able to read configuration and understand what it does. In this sense I think this is a pretty good prep exam for the actual lab exam.
3. Wireless topics seemed too vague for me. And no matter how much effort you put it, it may not be reflected on the score. If you are to study those topics, do it last. But if you wanna score points and have lots of time, then just read as many docs as possible from the following links. It may help.

As always, I respect NDA and cannot talk about the details of the exam.
I'm very exhausted now and already pissed (drunk). So I will go to bed now and think about lab exam tomorrow or the day after.

congratualtions on passing the written exam. I am still working on studying on mine and am about ready to take it my self. I have started a wiki http://wiki.the-collective.net/index.php?title=CCIE:_Routing_And_Switching and am trying to build and open repository for studying for the CCIE. I was wondering if you wanted to help and contribute to it. Let me know if your interested locutus@the-collective.net
Thanks!

Thanks for your comment.
I saw your blog. You've got nice pictures up there.
I think it's a pretty good idea to have an open knowledge repository for CCIE. I may be able to contribute some.
Good luck with yours.
